Choral Society: an organised body of amateur singers who meet regularly to perform choral music.

Still as true now as in 1824 when Ipswich Choral Society was first formed. Currently around 80 members meet on Tuesdays to enjoy singing a wide variety of choral music, in the friendly company of like-minded singers. Rehearsals are followed by a visit to a local pub to continue the active social scene of the choir!

Whether you wanting to meet new people, dusting down your singing skills or looking to try something exciting and challenging, you’ll receive a warm welcome from Ipswich Choral Society members. Come along to a rehearsal which start 7.30pm Tuesday evenings at Northgate Arts Centre to see for yourself with no pressure to join. Our voice section reps will be on hand to help with any queries you may have.

For more information email recruitment@ipswichchoralsociety.org to arrange a couple of ‘taster’ sessions at one of our rehearsals held throughout the year. Ipswich Choral Society meets every Tuesday evening with rehearsals starting at 7.30pm, Northgate Arts Centre, Sidegate Lane West, Ipswich IP4 3DF.
